Being a member of the Wesley Golf Society

 

Being a member of this really friendly and welcoming society entitles golfers to a full annual programme of golf on a more or less monthly basis during the season - there are a mixture of 9 and 18 hole games. The 1st and 2nd placed players according to handicap will receive a prize. Longest Drive and Nearest-the-Pin prizes also reward the accurate (& lucky!) competitors. There are annual trophies for several of the games. There is an annual 'Away Day' event somewhere in the south of England which involves a couple of Dinner, B&B in a golf resort hotel and at least 2 rounds of golf.

The strength of the Society is based on a solid Committee structure, being well resourced and organised and an annual AGM which reviews the past year's golf and finances etc. and awards prizes and trophies, and sets the programme for the year to come (COVID permitting!)
