Being a member of the Wesley Golf Society

 

Being a member of this really friendly and welcoming society entitles golfers to a full annual programme of golf on a more or less monthly basis during the season - there are a mixture of 9 and 18 hole games.

 

The 1st and 2nd placed players according to handicap will receive a prize. Longest Drive and Nearest-the-Pin prizes also reward the accurate (& lucky!) competitors. 

 

There are annual trophies for several of the games. There is an annual 'Away Event' fixture somewhere in the south of England which involves a package including a couple of nights hotel, Dinner &  B&B in a golf resort and at least 2 rounds of golf.

In addition to the Away Event, the society organises a Social Evening in early July where members can demonstrate their putting skills before enjoying a meal & drinks evening.

The strength of the Society is based on a solid Committee structure, being well resourced and organised and an annual AGM which reviews the past year's golf and finances etc. and awards prizes and trophies, and sets the programme for the year to come.
